I would make sure you have the membrane pushed down all the way inside that
white vessel too. Sometimes you have to really push hard to get them seated
all the way down.
When it's running normal, you should get about 1 gallon good blue water and
waste around 3 to 4 gallons of bad water (yellow line). If it looks like the
blue water is running as fast or faster then yellow line, then the membrane
is not seated.
